The day we met couldn't be more unexpected. We thought we had known each other for years. Time and distance didn’t seem to exist between two strangers smitten with laughs and stories. We have enjoyed every bit of those moments.
Love on Flights and Phone Calls
The more we know each other, the more we want to see the other in real life. When we started planning our first trip, we would never expect there were many more trips to come. Everything happened naturally for a reason. It could be spontaneous dates on the weekend in either California or D.C and flew back to work on the day after. Those flashing memories make us realize love is full of joy and dedication.
Big Move
Phong made a big decision to move from California to D.C, so that our relationship could grow. This move made our relationship become stronger than ever. We felt tangible and more certain about what we see in each other.
Love...Laugh...Growth
One of the biggest highlights of our journey is the unforgettable trips. Not only new experiences together, but they are also great opportunities to get to know each other better and genuinely. Throughout our journey, we realized we have many differences. We truly appreciate those missing puzzles that we're glad to find in the other. More importantly, we affirmed to do whatever it takes to grow and nurture our relationship.
One Big Shot
People often think the day the guy decides to propose is somewhat brave and nervous. To Phong, it happened very naturally when he has reflected on the relationship quite many times before making his proposal. His mind is set, but his plan got complicated amid the pandemic. He said “ Just do it.”
Tie The Knot
Our love was proved and witnessed by close friends and families. We are doing our best to prepare for our big day. To us, marriage is beautiful but also messy. It’s the beginning of a new chapter with conflicts, challenges, but also full of opportunities. We’ll strive to embrace our love and its grace.
